Installing the LeadIQ Chrome Extension

This article shows you how to add LeadIQ's Prospecting Hub Chrome extension to your browser.

Please Note: The extension is only available through Chrome at this time.

Step 1: Open your Google Chrome browser and navigate to the Chrome Web Store. Click Add to Chrome.

Step 2: On the popup window; click Add extension.

Another popup window will confirm that the extension has been added to your Chrome browser. 

Step 3: Click the puzzle icon on the top right of your browser to open your Chrome extension menu. Click the pin icon to pin the extension to your browser bar. 

Step 4: Click the LeadIQ icon on the top right of your browser to open the extension. 

Please Note: If at any point you need to reinstall the browser extension, your settings will be saved from the last time you logged in. 

Using the LeadIQ Extension in Side-Panel Mode

Chrome now allows extensions to appear as a side panel instead of opening as a separate window. This can provide a cleaner, more streamlined experience when prospecting. Below are the steps to enable, customize, and revert from side-panel mode.

1. Enable Side-Panel Mode for LeadIQ

• Close any open LeadIQ pop-up
• If you currently have the LeadIQ extension open in a separate pop-up window, close it.
• Re-open the LeadIQ extension
• Click the Chrome Extensions icon (the puzzle-piece icon in your toolbar).
• Find LeadIQ: Contact Data in One Click and select it.
• By default, it should now open in the side panel instead of a separate pop-up window.

Note: If it still opens as a pop-up window, follow the steps in Revert & Switch Modes and choose Open in side panel instead of Open as popup.

2. Choose Which Side of the Browser to Display the Panel

• Open Chrome Settings
• In Chrome, click the three-dot More icon (top-right corner).
• Go to Settings → Appearance.
• Locate “Side panel position”
• Scroll down until you see Side panel or Side panel position.
• Select Show on right or Show on left, depending on your preference.

You can also resize the panel by clicking and dragging its edge to your desired width.

3. Revert & Switch Modes (Side Panel Popup)

If you’d like to toggle between side-panel and pop-up modes:

• Open the Chrome Extensions Menu
• Click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) in your Chrome toolbar.
• Find LeadIQ: Contact Data in One Click
• Click the three-dot menu next to it.
• Select “Open as popup” or “Open in side panel”
• Choose Open as popup to revert to the original floating window style.
• Choose Open in side panel to use the new integrated side panel.
