Understanding Universal Credits
browse
Universal Credits (UC) are LeadIQ’s innovative and streamlined credit consumption system, designed to simplify and unify how credits are used across all DataHub and Prospecting Hub products. By transitioning from multiple disparate credit systems, UC aims to provide customers with greater fairness, predictability, and simplicity.

Why Universal Credits?
Simplicity: A unified system replaces the confusion of multiple credit models, enabling easy budget alignment.
Customer Fairness: Predictable costs eliminate surprises and ensure customers get value for their investment.
Competitor Differentiation: Unlike competitors like Zoominfo or Lusha, LeadIQ offers a universal application of credits, making the system more customer-centric and innovative.
How It Works
Universal credits are consumed in the following instances:
-
Person Data Enrichment: 1 UC per Lead or Contact for providing any of the following, depending on Chargebee plan configuration and/or user-defined selection:
- Phone
- Email & Phone
- Company Data Enrichment: 1 UC per company record enriched.
- Creating New Contacts/Accounts: 1 UC per record when adding new contacts or companies based on tracking or enrichment.
A record is considered Record Under Management (RUM) once it has been enriched using UCs. These records are Company and Person records, defined per Unique Company Id and Unique Person Id. Once a record becomes a RUM:
- Future enrichments of that record do not consume additional UCs for one year from the date of RUM activation or the active Data Hub subscription end date, whichever comes first.
- Signals such as Job Changes, Title Changes, Departures, and Account Events do not consume UCs.
Since Universal Credits apply to different products and features, we have created the following guides for each one:
Data Hub Credit Summary
The credit summary page available on the web will display how many credits the team has, how many are left for the contract period, and what products/features have consumed those credits.
