Understanding Universal Credits
browse
LeadIQ has unified its credit system by introducing Universal Credits (UCs) across all products, including Prospecting Hub and Data Hub. This change simplifies how credits are used—whether you’re unlocking data, exporting records, or tracking prospects, all actions now draw from one shared credit pool.
Why Universal Credits?
Simplicity: A unified system replaces the confusion of multiple credit models, enabling easy budget alignment.
Customer Fairness: Predictable costs eliminate surprises and ensure customers get value for their investment.
Competitor Differentiation: Unlike competitors like Zoominfo or Lusha, LeadIQ offers a universal application of credits, making the system more customer-centric and innovative.
How It Works
Shared Across Products
Your Universal Credits can be used interchangeably across Prospecting Hub and Data Hub.
What Triggers a UC Charge
Universal Credits are charged when you perform these actions:
Export a new company record
Unlock a person’s contact data (email or phone)
Records Under Management (RUM)
Once a contact or company is unlocked or exported, it becomes a Record Under Management (RUM):
You will not be charged again for that same record for one year
The one-year period starts from the unlock/export date or your subscription end date (whichever is later)
RUM applies at the team level, not just the individual user
UC Charges Per Action
| Action | Credits Used |
|---|---|
| Unlock an email | 1 UC |
| Export a company | 3 UC |
| Unlock a phone number | 10 UCs (mobile or work) |
Real-World Examples
Scenario 1: Unlocking Contact Info
Email = 1 UC
Mobile/Work Phone = 10 UCs
Total: 11 UCs
Scenario 2: Exporting a Company
New company export = 3 UCs
Already exported by your team = 0 UCs
Scenario 3: Bulk Capturing from Lists or Web Search
50 emails unlocked = 50 UCs
50 phones unlocked = 500 UCs
Company data stays in LeadIQ = 0 UCs (until exported)
Credit Summary
The credit summary page available on the web will display how many credits the team has, how many are left for the contract period, and what products/features have consumed those credits.
