Refresh - Universal Credits

Universal Credits (UC) is a system designed to simplify and standardize how data is consumed across various LeadIQ products. This guide explains how UC works for Refresh, including consumption rules, common scenarios and important settings to configure.

Enrichment Types

There are three types of Refresh enrichment types:

  • Instant Enrichment - constantly runs in the background
  • On-Demand Enrichment - when a user manually clicks the Enrich button to enrich an Account, Contact, or Lead record
  • Scheduled Enrichment - user schedules a job and sets its enrichment frequency

Consumption of credits

Universal credits are consumed in the following instances:

  • Person data
    • UCs will be charged only for Email or Phone or Email & Phone data points for a contact and is based on the user's data plan and/or user-defined selection.
  • Company data
    • All company fields are in scope for UC consumption i.e., even if a single company field is enriched, a UC will be charged.
    • Specifically, any field under 'Object = Account' on this page is in scope for UC. Even if one of these fields is enriched, UCs will be charged.

Universal credits will not be consumed for RUM records or Signals (such as Job Changes, Title Changes, Departures, and Account Events).

Note: A Contact/Lead on Salesforce has both Person and Company data, so enriching a Contact/Lead will consume UCs for both data points (assuming both are non-Record Under Management).

Settings

A new section under Enrichment Settings will allow users to configure their Contact Data Preference:

  • Email only
  • Phone only
  • Email and Phone

Additionally, users can set limits for Scheduled Enrichments to prevent unintended over-consumption of credits.

Field Mapping: “Allow Enrichment” & “Allow Overwrite”

  • If these fields are unchecked for Work Email, Work Phone, or Personal Phone on the Field Mapping page, those specific fields will not be enriched, but a Universal Credit will still be charged.
  • Scenario: If the customer has selected "Email" for enrichment and the Work Email field is unchecked in the Field Mapping, the email will not be enriched, but 1 UC will still be charged for enriching other selected fields.

Common Scenarios

If an Email or Phone is found for a Contact/Lead:

    • If the "Allow Enrichment" setting is checked for Work Email, all selected fields will be enriched, and 1 UC is charged.
    • If not checked for Work Email but other fields are selected, only those fields are enriched, and 1 UC is charged.

If no Email or Phone is found for a Contact/Lead:

    • No fields will be enriched and no UC is consumed.
