Universal Credits Overview

LeadIQ has unified its credit system by introducing Universal Credits (UCs) across all products, including Prospecting Hub. This change simplifies how credits are used—whether you’re unlocking data, exporting records, or tracking prospects, all actions now draw from one shared credit pool.

With Universal Credits, you benefit from:

  • A single, consistent credit system across LeadIQ products
  • Greater flexibility to use credits where you need them most
  • No need to manage multiple credit types or systems

This update aligns Prospecting Hub with Data Hub to provide a more predictable and streamlined experience for teams.

How Universal Credits Are Charged

Universal Credits (UCs) are used consistently across all LeadIQ products, making it easy to track and manage your usage. Here's how UC charging works in Prospecting Hub:

Shared Across Products

Your UCs can be used interchangeably across all LeadIQ products that support Universal Credits, including Prospecting Hub, Data Hub, and Track.

What Triggers a UC Charge

UCs are charged when you take any of the following actions:

  • Export a new company record
  • Unlock a person’s contact data (email or phone)

Records Under Management (RUM)

Once a contact or company is unlocked or exported, it becomes a Record Under Management (RUM) for your team:

  • You will not be charged again for that same contact or company for one year
  • The one-year period starts from the date of unlock, export, or your subscription end date (whichever is later)
  • RUM is applied at the team level, not just the individual user

UC Charges Per Action

ActionCredits Used
Unlock an email 1 UC
Export a company3 UC
Unlock a phone number10 UCs (mobile or work)

Both Data Hub and Prospecting Hub follow this standardized 1/3/10 model for UC usage.

Real-World Examples

Scenario 1: Unlocking Contact Info

You unlock a prospect's email and phone:

  • Email = 1 UC
  • Mobile/Work Phone = 10 UCs
  • Total Charged: 11 UCs

Scenario 2: Exporting a Company

You export a new company to Salesforce:

  • Company Export = 3 UC
  • If already exported by someone on your team = 0 UCs

Scenario 3: Bulk Capturing from Lists or Web Search

You bulk capture 50 prospects from 5 companies:

  • Emails unlocked = 50 UCs
  • Phones unlocked = 500 UCs
  • Company data stays in LeadIQ = 0 UCs for companies (until exported)

Admin Controls & Visibility

Admins can:

  • Set UC limits across teams
  • View usage reports through Hex links (see internal tools)
  • Manage plan upgrades and credit allocations via Chargebee

Migration Plan

  • New customers will begin on UC-enabled plans automatically.
  • Existing customers will migrate to Universal Credits upon renewal.
  • RUM resets during this migration to ensure consistent credit tracking.
