Automatic Record Matching: Matching by Region, Country, and Record Owner

LeadIQ_Banner_Transparent.png

Note: This setting is only available to users integrated with Salesforce.

The following article applies to customers who capture prospects from multi-regional accounts and have configured multiple accounts in their Salesforce CRM with the same domain field, but different region textfield. For example two accounts with apple.com set for the company domain, but titled Apple US with a field called country set to "United States" and another titled Apple India with a field called country set to "India".

With LeadIQ, we'll match the first account we find matching the company domain associated with that prospect.

Further refine with automatic record matching to check the account region or country fields associated with that account to ensure your regional captures of prospects with a company location of USA get matched to the correct Apple US account, meanwhile captures where the company address is located in India get matched to the corresponding Apple India account in SFDC.

Setup:

By default, prospects you capture are matched to an account record in SFDC based on the company website. Do you work with regional accounts that share the same company website?

With LeadIQ, we've introduced automated country code matching for SFDC to deal with multi-region accounts hosted across multiple records in your CRM.

Located in the web app, under SFDC configuration settings (https://account.leadiq.com/app/integrations/salesforce):

If you would like to match by region or country, select your corresponding salesforce field for one of the two options.

If you would like to match by both, understand LeadIQ will first compare accounts with matching regions, then further to matching countries. Select both fields from the drop down matching your CRM configuration.

With this feature enabled, while saving the prospect to your CRM, LeadIQ will check your Salesforce CRM for a list of matching accounts as usual then narrow in this specific order: region/sub-region, then country (if selected)

The following are a list of accepted text values we look for a corresponding match with in Salesforce for the fields you select in the drop downs seen above.

1. Region or sub-region:
