Overview

The LeadIQ MCP (Model Context Protocol) Connector allows you to interact with the LeadIQ API using natural language through supported AI platforms. With this connector, you can build and execute AI-powered sales workflows for contact enrichment, company enrichment, and advanced prospecting — all without writing code.

What You Can Do With the LeadIQ MCP Connector

Once connected, you can use natural-language prompts to perform the following actions:

Contact Enrichment

Enrich individual contacts using:

  • LinkedIn URL
  • Work email address
  • Name + company (current or past)
  • Phone number

Returned data may include:

  • Verified work emails and direct phone numbers
  • Job title, seniority, and role
  • Work history and education
  • Location details

Company Enrichment

  • Industry classifications (SIC / NAICS)
  • Technology stack and software categories
  • Funding history and dates
  • Parent companies and subsidiaries

Prospecting

Use AI to discover new leads that match your ideal customer profile (ICP):

  • Returns a flat list of individual contacts
  • Filter by job title, seniority, role, industry, company size, technologies, funding stage, and location

Grouped Prospecting

  • Returns leads grouped by company
  • Ideal for account-based marketing (ABM) and multi-threading
  • Pull multiple contacts per company across different departments

Advanced Targeting Capabilities

  • Technology stack targeting
  • Trigger-based prospecting (job changes, promotions)

  • Batch enrichment (up to 10 contacts per request, 100 per session)

Requirements

Before getting started, make sure you have:

  • An active LeadIQ account — Standard email/password login and social (Google) login are both fully supported.
  • An AI platform that supports MCP — Claude (Free, Pro, or Teams), ChatGPT (Plus, Team or Ent) and other MCP-compatible platforms are supported. Claude Free now includes MCP connector support.

Recommended platform: Claude (Web or Desktop) and Microsoft Copilot (Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, Logic Apps).

How to Set Up the LeadIQ MCP Connector in Claude

1. Open Claude and go to Settings → Connectors.

2. Click Add custom connector.

3. Enter the following details:

Name:

LeadIQ

Remote MCP Server URL:

https://mcp.leadiq.com/mcp

4. Save the connector.

5. Click Connect and log in via the LeadIQ Authentication pop-up using email/password or social (Google) login.

Note: Enterprise SSO users - If your organization enforces enterprise SSO (e.g., your company’s Google domain is linked to LeadIQ), clicking “Sign in with Google” may show an error. In that case, go back and enter your email address directly — the password field will appear and you can log in with your credentials instead.

Once connected, ensure LeadIQ is toggled ON in the Claude chat connector menu.

How to Set Up the LeadIQ MCP Connector in ChatGPT

Note: This integration requires a paid ChatGPT subscription (Plus, Team, or Enterprise). It is not available on the free tier.

1. Go to Settings and navigate to Apps & Connectors.

2. Enable Developer Mode.

This is required to add third-party MCP connectors in ChatGPT.

3. Return to Apps & Connectors and click Create App.

4. Save the app.

If LeadIQ does not appear right away, try logging out and back into ChatGPT, or refreshing the page.

5. Start a new chat and add LeadIQ as a capability from the connector menu.

Once connected, you can use the same natural language prompts listed above to enrich contacts, search companies, and prospect for leads.

How to Set Up the LeadIQ MCP Connector in Microsoft Copilot

LeadIQ MCP is a certified connector across Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Logic Apps.

1. In Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, or Logic Apps, open the connector gallery and search for "LeadIQ."

2. Select the LeadIQ MCP connector and choose Create connection.

3. Sign in with your LeadIQ account credentials when prompted. No Client ID or Secret is required. Authentication uses OAuth 2.0, and you'll approve access for LeadIQ's standard scopes during sign-in.

4. Once connected, add the LeadIQ MCP action to your flow or agent. Any of the fifteen available tools can be called from this single action.

5. Test the connection by asking your agent a simple prompt, for example: "Find VPs of Sales at software companies with 100-500 employees."

Notes specific to Copilot:

- The connector is listed under the Sales and CRM and AI categories in Microsoft's connector directory.

- Availability varies slightly by product tier: Copilot Studio, Power Apps, and Power Automate list it as a Premium connector; Logic Apps lists it as Standard.

- Government cloud regions (GCC, GCC High, DoD) and Azure China are not currently supported for this connector.

- Paid tools (FindPeople, FindCompanies, EnrichPeople, EnrichCompanies) still draw from your account's Universal Credits and will prompt for confirmation before high-cost operations, the same as in Claude.

If you run into a connection error in Copilot, first confirm you're signing in with an active LeadIQ account and not entering a Client ID manually, since one isn't needed for this connector.
