What is Contact Tracking?
Contact Tracking enables you to track specific contacts and provides you with an alert when the specific contacts change jobs. This is ideal for tracking champions, buyers, and power users who are likely to buy again.
If you would like to add Contact Tracking to your LeadIQ account, reach out directly to your LeadIQ Account Executive or Customer Success Manager.
What's Considered a Job Change?
The job changes we detect are:
- Working at a different company
- Holding a different title at the same company
How Does Contact Tracking Work?
There are two ways to use Contact Tracking: Self-Serve and Salesforce Automation.
- Self-Serve: In this workflow, you upload a CSV file of your contacts into the LeadIQ web app. Once the file has been uploaded, LeadIQ will review each contact for job changes, and a CSV file listing all of the job changes will be generated in your account within 24 hours. This file can be downloaded and distributed from your account at any time. Upload your contacts each month for the freshest batch of recent job changes.
- Salesforce Automation: In this workflow, you will need to have the LeadIQ Refresh capability enabled. Once enabled, simply use the default workflow provided, or build a dynamic report of your contacts, and LeadIQ will create custom objects for all job changes each month. This workflow can be managed using Salesforce or by using another workflow tool, such as LeanData.
How are Job Changes Detected?
LeadIQ is ingesting and analyzing large amounts of data every day from our users' searches, data partners, and proprietary sources. This allows us to keep our data accurate while also allowing us to quickly identify contacts who have changed jobs.
What Kind of Job Change Data is Provided?
We are currently providing work emails, work email statuses, and mobile phones.
Is There a Limit on Contacts Being Tracked?
No, there are no limits on the number of contacts that can be tracked.
Which Contacts Should Be Tracked?
Any contact type can be tracked. However, if your CRM includes these fields, we recommend tracking champions, buyers, and high-NPS product users.
Alternatively, you could start off by tracking contacts associated with customer accounts (closed/won), contacts associated with closed/lost opportunities, and contacts associated with churned accounts.
Where Does LeadIQ Source Job Change Data From?
Job changes come from two sources:
- Our LeadIQ User Community
- Data partners
LeadIQ verifies data in real-time when used alongside LinkedIn Sales Navigator. When we detect a contact has a new title and/or is at a new company during this verification process, it triggers a job change within our database. We also supplement this data through data partnerships, which allows us to expand our coverage for our customers.
